Fundamentals of Weight Training

This course is a beginner-level program that teaches athletes the fundamentals of safe strength training. Over six weeks, participants will learn proper form, basic lifting techniques, and how to build simple workouts using free weights, resistance bands, and bodyweight exercises. Each session includes a warm-up, guided instruction, and a weight training workout routine. Over the six weeks, students will keep track of progress and document how much stronger they have gotten during this brief period.

*Middle school students (grades 6-8) can stay after school to attend this class but must be picked up promptly at the class end time.
