Snapology Camps
Bringing STEM to life using LEGO® bricks! Snapology Savannah summer camps provide a fun and safe environment for children to learn science, technology, engineering, and math concepts using LEGO® bricks and other building tools. We offer computer programming, robotics, animation, and STEM based programs as well as other themed favorites. Your child will learn, create, and innovate while having a blast in our camps! If full day camp is needed on weeks that half-day camps are offered, you can sign your child up for both morning and afternoon Snapology camps, send a lunch, and they can stay from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM! The camps are at the Community Education Campus.
Snapology Super Sampler (May 28-31; 9:00 AM-4:00 PM): Come explore the world of Minecraft®, Ninjas, Star Wars® and Superheroes, one day devoted to each theme! Your child is sure to have a blast as we bring these themes to life using LEGO® bricks! Open to students entering grades 1 - 3. Before and after care available.
Space Wars Robotics (June 17-21; 9:00 AM-12:00 PM): In this Star Wars-inspired program, your padawan learner will explore the basics of robotics while digging into their favorite parts of the Star Wars movies--the machines! While working with a partner to complete various challenges, your student will be taught how to utilize sensors effectively, how different mechanical components work in their robots, and how programming is a challenging but rewarding skill that they can master with just a little practice. We will support them in the development of their coding and building skills and inspire them with creative challenges based on the movies they love. May the force be with them as they build and grow! Open to students entering grades 4 - 6. Before care available.
Mega Machines Robotics (June 17-21; 1:00-4:00 PM): In Snapology's Mega Machines camp, your child will create some of their favorite motorized vehicles. Students will learn about gear ratio, sensors, pulleys, cranks, and programming as they build trucks, space rovers, helicopters, and much more. Your child is sure to have fun as they build, learn, and play. Open to students entering grades 4 - 6. After care available.
Creature Creator Robotics (June 24-28; 9:00 AM-12:00 PM): In Snapology's Creature Creator Robotics camp, your animal lover will create their own animal inspired robotic models. Students will learn about gear ratio, sensors, simple machines, and programming as they build insects, dolphins, gorillas, and much more. Your child is sure to have a wild time as they build, learn, and play. Open to students entering grades 1 - 3. Before care available.
Developing Engineers (June 24-28; 1:00-4:00 PM): Is your student inquisitive, a problem-solver, a big-thinker, a tinkerer, a puzzler, or a budding engineer? If so, they’re the perfect fit for Snapology’s Developing Engineers: Mechanical Masterminds program! This program gives your student the tools they need to understand mechanical movement through the foundations of simple machines, physics, and engineering design. They will see moving parts up-close as they follow instructions to build various machines, then use the models to develop new design ideas, test out physics concepts, and even play games with their partners and classmates. Whether they are the creative-constructive type or prefer the inquisitive-deconstructive way of learning, this program is sure to spark their interests! Open to students entering grades 1 - 3. After care available.
LEGO® Engineering Camp Advanced (July 8-12; 9:00 AM-4:00 PM): Come build super-cool models that use gears, axles, and technic bricks. Children will use engineering and physics concepts as they work in teams under guided instruction to build a different model using LEGO® TECHNIC® bricks each class! Open to students entering grades 4 - 6. Before and after care available.
