Bryan County Schools is proud to offer a Before and After School Program for Pre-K - 8th grade students currently enrolled in the Bryan County School system. Remember to include your child's grade level for the 2024-25 school year.
Bryan County Schools Employer Supported Childcare Program
This is the mandatory registration form and $25 fee for Summer Camp 2024. It is an annual fee and process to be completed as the first step in enrolling in Community Education's Summer Camp 2024.
Great course for first-time drivers. Includes 30 hours of classroom or virtual instruction and six hours behind the wheel. Must have learners permit.
There are several options available for enrollment. The Premium course includes the Three-Day Blast curriculum. The Premium course continues for an additional 10 hours of instruction following the conclusion of the Blast course. The Math Launch is a separate course option focusing on the math section of the SAT only.
Requirements for enrollment: Students must have taken the PSAT or SAT and completed Algebra I; students must have a calculator (TI-84 or TI-84 Plus preferred) , a charged laptop or chrome book, and a College Board student account. If you are bringing a personal laptop, download the BlueBook app (Instructions HERE). You will be able to access BlueBoard with your CollegeBoard login credentials, so have your login and password.
Option 1:
Three-Day SAT Prep Blast
The SAT Prep Blast course concentrates on SAT reading, vocabulary, and writing skills along with math practice. The course includes practice in taking the NEW DIGITAL SAT, as well as strategies for sections and question types. Learn to approach the test analytically and with confidence and practice effective test-taking strategies. Examine the format of test sections, modules, question structure and content, as well as practice the skills and techniques for each type of question. Review useful approaches for eliminating guessing, using actual test questions released by College Board. We will use authentic practice materials within Bluebook as well as other SAT practice resources available through the College Board and Khan Academy. Practice work will help identify individual strengths and weaknesses, so additional practice can be tailored to a student’s specific needs. SAT Prep Blast will allow for a full SAT practice test with scoring and feedback.
This class meets on one Monday, one Thursday, and one Saturday for a total of 6.5 hours of instruction. This in-person SAT course will give you a leg up over any online course. In this course you will:

Premium SAT Course: Three-Day SAT Prep Blast + Section Specific Lessons
The SAT Prep Blast course concentrates on SAT reading, vocabulary, and writing skills along with math practice. Learn to approach the test analytically and with confidence and practice effective test-taking strategies. Examine the format of test sections, modules, question structure and content, as well as practice the skills and techniques for each type of question. Review useful approaches for eliminating guessing, using actual test questions released by College Board.
The SAT Section-Specific Course will concentrate on both the Math Section of the SAT and Reading and Writing Section of the SAT. Every lesson consists of three parts: instruction, guided practice, and scored practice. We will use authentic practice materials within Bluebook as well as other SAT practice resources available through the College Board and Khan Academy. Practice work will help identify individual strengths and weaknesses, so additional practice can be tailored to a student’s specific needs.
Both the SAT Prep Blast and the SAT Section-Specific Course will include full SAT practice tests. Students participating in the Premium SAT Course will have the opportunity to take 2 full SAT practice tests. Teacher/student ratio does not exceed 1 to 15.

SAT Prep Math Launch
The SAT has four math sections. This course will provide instruction and additional practice resources for Heart of Algebra, Problem Solving and Data Analysis, Passport to Advanced Math and Additional Topics. Heart of Algebra entails analyzing and solving equations and systems of equations, creating expressions, equations, and inequalities to represent relationships between quantities and to solve problems, and rearranging and interpreting formulas. Problem Solving and Data Analysis encompasses creating and analyzing relationships using ratios, proportions, percentages, and units, describing relationships shown graphically, and summarizing qualitative and quantitative data. Passport to Advanced Math incorporates analyzing relationships using ratios, proportions, percentages, and units, describing relationships shown graphically, and summarizing qualitative and quantitative data. The fourth, smallest section includes Additional Topics in Math. Additional Topics involve Making area and volume calculations in context, investigating lines, angles, triangles, and circles using theorems, and working with trigonometric functions.

My name is Eileen Hough. Currently, I am an Algebra I teacher at Richmond Hill High School. For the past 28 years, I have been tutoring and teaching students in Algebra I, Algebra II and Geometry. My undergraduate degree is in Mathematics Education from Millersville University. I earned a Master’s Degree from Armstrong University in Reading and my Education Specialist Degree in Teacher Leadership from Valdosta University. My passion is for all students to achieve understanding of mathematics to reach their full potential and set lifelong goals. Teaching the Math SAT prep course will allow me to give back to the Richmond Hill community which has supported me as a teacher.
Ms. Martin is in her fourth year of teaching at Richmond Hill High School. She is an ELA teacher who earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Georgia Southern University. Originally from Lawrenceville, GA, Ms. Martin has made a home in Southern Georgia, and her favorite past time is enjoying the sun and warm weather while reading any and all kinds of books.
