Volleyball Camp at MES

Summer Camp Registration / Summer Specialty Camps -
Summer Camp 2024

Grow the game together!

Purpose: Develop fundamental volleyball skills while teaching teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship.

Beginners

This camp’s primary focus is all about the basics, designed to teach the fundamentals of the sport and develop the proper techniques and skills for hand-eye coordination, agility, body movement, and ball control to play the game. Team play will be introduced and incorporated with a focus on fun while learning skills.

*If you previously attended Volleyball Skills & Drills and are still uncomfortable with passing, setting, and serving - this camp is for you.

Intermediate:  Develop existing skills while teaching teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship.

This camp will develop the skills learned in the beginner class. Players must know how to pass, set, and serve before participating in this camp.

Reminders: Every child needs to bring their own water bottle. Bring plenty of water, one snack, and proper sports attire (shorts, T-shirt, and comfortable running sneakers with good grip or volleyball shoes). **If you have/plan on buying volleyball shoes, they are STRICTLY meant for indoor court use, please come in a different pair of shoes (i.e., crocs, slides, flip flops), and once the inside player can change shoes. Please make sure socks are brought or worn. Knee pads are suggested, but not required.

Open to grades 3-6. No transport is available for this camp. No before or after care is available for this camp.

Audrieanna Ortiz-Macias

Volleyball Instructor

Hi! My name is Audrie Ortiz. I played volleyball for five years. Volleyball brings young people together and is a great team sport. I am an ESS teacher at Frances Meeks Elementary School. I have worked all throughout the school system being an ASP instructor, a paraprofessional, a substitute, and a teacher! I have a son named Nikko and two fur babies named Beau and Mickey. Something I like to do in my free time is travel!
