Four/Five-Year-Old Program (DINKIES)

The Playball DINKIES program is tailored for 4 and 5-year-olds and is ideal for those beginning school. Through structured lessons, children practice skills boosting confidence for sports and advancing abilities. This crucial age fosters fundamental development impacting academic, social, and cultural aspects. Our goal is to instill a positive relationship with sports. DINKIES focuses on ball skills, encourages individual participation, and builds confidence to overcome fears. By program completion, children gain significant sports competence.

Five/Six-Year-Old Program (Preps)

The Playball Preps program for the 5 and 6-year-olds concentrates on refining and advancing fundamental sports skills catering to children who are new to Playball classes. Children practice specialized sports skills with an emphasis on quality execution. They gain competence in various individual sport skills such as shooting a basketball or dribbling a hockey ball. Partner exercises introduce teamwork concepts and leadership roles. The program emphasizes skill refinement, including formalized drills and teamwork, laying the groundwork for competent sport participation.

Sharon Boyes

Instructor

Introducing Sharon Boyes, a dynamic individual from South Africa with the spirit of America. Having embraced the American dream a little over five years ago, Sharon is not only an avid sports enthusiast but also the owner and head coach of Playball Low Country. Living in Richmond Hill for 2.5 years has seen her infuse the community with the magic of Playball, transforming sports into moments of joy and growth.

Hailing from South Africa, Sharon's early affinity for sports laid the foundation for her journey. Now she is not just making waves on the field but also in the hearts of her Playball enthusiasts. Her passion for the Playball program goes beyond the athletic realm; it extends to the developmental aspects it fosters— teamwork, skill-building, and an essence of pure enjoyment.

Her affinity for teaching the youngest participants in the Playball program is evident, as she cherishes the process of nurturing not only their sports skills but also their social, cognitive, and emotional development. Sharon Boyes is more than a coach; she's a mentor with a heart dedicated to shaping well-rounded individuals through the power of sports.
