    Piano

    Private piano lessons are offered to children and adults. Lessons are offered on a weekly basis for 30 minutes and are available for beginners as well as those who have piano experience. Minimum age requirements for enrolling in piano lessons will be determined by each instructor. Multiple qualified instructors will be teaching piano for the Community Education program. Piano lessons take place in the after school hours. Class times and locations will be assigned individually. Please note that your registration does not confirm your enrollment in the piano class. You will be contacted once assigned to an available class or placed on a waiting list if no class is available. Prices may vary by instructor. In Introduction to College Prep Piano, the student receives a weekly 30-minute piano lesson that is tailored to their individual learning style. Lessons are focused on theory, technique, sight-reading, aural-training, and a variety of musical styles appropriate for beginners to advanced students of any age. Students are responsible for purchasing lesson books as assigned and should have access to a piano for daily practice.

    Private Violin Lessons

    This violin class is perfect for beginners, advanced beginners or those at the intermediate level of play. The instructor for this course is Abbey Terry, an active performer and music instructor. Students will develop an understanding of how to play the violin from scratch, demonstrate the ability to hold the bow, violin and shoulder rest correctly. Students will also learn the terminology, read basic music notation, practice effectively, and demonstrate reading music more fluently. Students are responsible for renting or purchasing instruments, plus scores, lesson books and collections as assigned.

    Private Voice Lessons

    This course consists of private voice lessons for all levels (age 7 and up) for the purpose of vocal technique and artistic application study for solo voice repertoire. After successfully completing the appropriate course of study, the student will: ● Have an understanding of terminology ● Demonstrate the ability to read basic music notation ● Learn how to practice, self study, and continue singing after taking the course ● Have knowledge of solo literature ● Be skilled in solo performance with required musical techniques and artistic expressions Students are responsible for the purchase of the required music. Failure to prepare the course materials may result in low productivity and slower results.
