Kids in the Kitchen
This camp is devoted to the practical application of everyday ingredients and everyday kitchen items. Students will learn how to properly use kitchen items, like measuring cups and spoons, a knife, griddle toaster oven, and small cooktop to create recipes utilizing ingredients found in most kitchens. This week-long camp focuses on proper prep and clean-up as well as creating a breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack or dessert. Depending on age and maturity level, students will be allowed to help use appliances and cooking tools with close monitoring by the instructor. Open to students entering grades 3 - 6; No before or after care is available for this camp.

Amy Beasley has been teaching 6th grade at Richmond Hill Middle School for 12 years. She also has a passion for baking and cake decorating. Amy enjoys cooking for her family and friends and loves sharing the joys of cooking with students! Amy stresses safety, proper preparation and nutrition for Kitchen kids.
